The Kardashian reality television empire continues to grow, as E! Television has announced that Kylie Jenner’s new spinoff “The Life of Kylie” has been greenlit. Jenner will star in the series and be credited as executive producer. This spinoff would become the fourth offshoot currently airing on E!, which was the home of the original show, “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.” “Rob and Chyna”, “Kourtney and Kim Take Miami” and “I Am Cait” are also in E!’s lineup. The show is expected to follow Jenner through her daily life as an entrepreneur, fashion model and social media star. The show is also expected to star Jordyn Woods, a close friend of Kylie’s, along with frequent cameos by her family members. Ryan Seacrest, former “American Idol” host, and Kris Jenner, Kylie’s mother, are also credited as executive producers on the show. The first season will be comprised of eight episodes, which are expected to air in the summer.
Kylie has been working for years to get this show off the ground, and discussions to get this particular program off the ground began in 2015. “The last couple years have been such an incredible journey with the support of my fans. This show will allow me to give them a peek inside all of the exciting things I am working on as well as some personal time with friends,” Kylie said. Indeed, Kylie has had a meteoric rise in fame since her early appearances on the original Kardashian program. She was named one of the most influential teens by TIME Magazine. She has also worked to create a mobile game, a clothing line and a social media campaign. She has also been an active supporter of Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The announcement of Kylie and the highlighting of her relatively unblemished history may work in older sister Kendall’s favor; Kendall is currently dealing with the aftermath of an ill-timed Pepsi commercial.
